Never Stop Learning, Always Strive for Excellence

Up until about 2 years ago, my art was centered around stained glass, fused glass, and wood working.  Fortunately, I constantly seek new learning opportunities on as many subjects as possible.  While looking for a painting class, I found Ann Cockerill and her gallery/studio The Red Cockerill Gallery http://www.redcockerillgallery.com/.  Ann is an amazing artist, teacher and mentor that I have been fortunate enough to learn from these past two years.  I believe it is Ann's love of art as well as her intuitive teaching style that makes every class so enjoyable.  I have fallen in love with painting and continue to explore different mediums from acrylic and watercolor to oil, all the while learning as much about myself as the techniques Ann teaches.  Although I may never reach the level of mastery with paints like the Renaissance masters or even that of Ann Cockerill or Robert Meredith, I will continue to learn and continue to strive for excellence. I encourage you to do the same.

First Post

Just created this blog to become part of the launch for Verrocchio Group, LLC D/B/A "Verrocchio Workshop".  Verrocchio Group is about integrating art and life, promoting artist and self-mastery.  The Renaissance Master Andrea del Verrocchio whose most famous apprentice was Leonardo da Vinci is the inspiration behind a workshop that will bring value and beauty to homes and offer instruction to new artists.
